I am the general education teacher in an integrated co-teaching setting. Forty percent of our students have individualized educational plans. The majority of our students come from homes where another language, other than English, is spoken in the household. Our students do not necessarily have the academic vocabulary to both scaffold understanding and the critical thinking skills necessary to achieve Common Core Learning Standards. Yet, no matter what their learning styles, technology is a tool that they easily understand. We are continually looking for ways to make learning stick. So the answer to our quandary is a classroom subscription to BrainPOP!
