Welcome to my bilingual classroom! My 2nd graders belong to a dual Spanish Immersion school located in an urban area, and they are thirsty for knowledge. My students are so amazing. They both love and struggle with learning to read in two languages while learning math, science, and social science content, often in their second language. Despite these challenges, my students are filled with energy, and they strive each day to meet our reading goal for 2nd grade: to grow the equivalent to 1 1/2 years in reading, and to do it well in both English and Spanish! Our goals are ambitious, but my students are also learning the motto "Yo Si Puedo." Thanks for visiting.
