My students need the extra support in reading in their native language. Our school helps the Spanish native students excel by allowing them to use their native language the first 3 years and then later transfer what they know to exceed in English. My students need extra support in reading and writing. iPads are a tool that have many applications students can use in the classroom. My students are from different grade levels K-4th grade. iPads are great literacy tools for any grade. There are so many applications that can be used for reading, writing and math. Our school uses the program, "Handwriting Without Tears" and they have an application available on the iPad for students to use. This application, Wet-Dry-Try, engages students with a new sensory experience. It also provides personalized coaching that reinforces the handwriting with teacher terminology in a fun way during writing centers.
