My students come from all over the world and have different levels of English proficiency. Many of them are brand new to the US and are a bit in shock! I have students who come from Egypt, Somalia, Nigeria, India, Mexico, Guatemala, and countless other countries. We are an inner city school with a very high poverty rate.
