Several students struggle with sitting all day, so a stand up desk will allow them to move, and still stay focused on their learning without feeling agitated and stressed in their alternative school environment. It's important that while taking on the challenges of being in an additional reading class, due to struggles with reading, some of my kids struggle with excessive energy. This is why a stand up desks are so helpful. Let's face it not too many adults can be told where to sit and in an uncomfortable class chair all day, so a stand up desk will give them an opportunity to move, stretch, and engage on a positive note while standing.
