Various options and healthy movement in a seat allows students to be more focused and engaged in their learning. Many of my students are very anxious and trying to absorb so much as they adjust to a new language and culture. They spend a lot of time wiggling around and tip back in their chairs. This is taking away from their focus and valuable learning time. I want them to have seating that allows options, safe movement, and sensory input. I have a small classroom with not a lot of space to keep various seating options available for students. The Viget 3 in 1 seat has options for two different seats as well as a desktop. The heights of the seats differ to meet the individual needs of students and offers a healthy, safe movement. The chair also has sensory bumps built in the handles that provide a tactile and discrete texture to use when a student is in need of extra sensory input. The product I have selected will help my students by giving them flexible seating options in one seat. The new seats will help meet their individual comfort needs to help them to feel less anxious and be more effective learners.
