I have an awesome opportunity to loop with my students from last year. My first graders currently attend a low income school in Michigan and a majority of my students are free or reduced lunch. The economy has not quite recovered here and some of my families are struggling to provide basic needs for their children and because of this some of my students do not have the resources to supplement their learning at home. They come to school everyday passionate to learn with a smile on their face and I want to provide them ample materials and opportunities to stimulate their minds at school using center based learning. I am a firm believer that students learn best when working with hands on materials collaboratively and I am committed to giving them the resources, time and passion to do so.
