The students here are predominantly of the Haitian decent. Some Asians, African Americans, and Caucasians are in attendance as well. We are 98% are on free lunch. These students live in South Florida. Our schools are in an inner city area. We are an "F" school with the county requiring us to "change and improve". I feel that pride in our community will help develop a good sense of self-worth and that help will foster Common Core Standards. Which will in turn make our school grade better? This school year we want to focus on city government. We will integrate the branch of our local government to create a city within the city. My students are the Park and Recreation branch of the city. Our motto is at Parks & Recreation Department, we strive to connect people with the environment. These single parent families are dysfunctional and are in need of some form of education.
