Hi Y'all! My name is Rachel Viegas ("Ms. V"), and I currently work as a Special Education teacher at Stella Worley Middle School in Westwego, LA. For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to be a teacher in a high-need community. Now that my first year of teaching has passed, I truly feel this is what I am meant to do. With the population of students that I teach, each day brings a new challenge, but my passion for my students' academic, behavioral, and social success is unwavering. I have been described as a "no-nonsense nurturer," thus I never expect any less from my students than their best effort.
