I am teaching Project Lead The Way (PLTW) - Medical Detectives for the first time and I would love for my students to be able to wear their lab coats and act like a medical profession when I assign them medical cases. My students keep asking me about wearing lab coats because it would make them feel like they are truly medical doctors as they tackle saving their patient. I have many students who want to work in the medical field when they graduate from high school/college. This course would serve as a jump-start so students can see what it takes to be a medical profession and the skills needed to help others in need. I want my students to enjoy taking this biomedical course and can only hope that they will continue to take the PLTW course at our local high school.
