I have the pleasure of helping third grade students who are a grade level or more behind find success in reading. Often, these students do not qualify for any special assistance and would typically loose daily in depth phonics lessons at the end of second grade. My district takes No Child Left Behind to another level by continuing phonics-based learning for struggling readers in third grade. These students attend a school that is not title one, therefore our school finds ways to fund this necessary program.

About my class
