My school has character and my students have spunk. My students are proud to be West Bank New Orleanians of all shapes, shades and sizes. My students are 11th and 12th grade superstars who are strong and resilient in everything that comes at them. They hold one or sometimes two afterschool jobs. They are leaders and hardworking athletes. They are JROTC cadets and Upward Bound students at local universities. They march with pride every Mardi Gras season blowing horns, waving flags and dancing in yellow and blue. My students question what goes on around them and are not afraid to tell others about what they think.
