Math and Physics are extremely visual subjects to teach in middle school. Many of my lessons and worked examples (which are VERY important in understanding the lessons and standards being taught) are presented on our whiteboard for all the students to see and take notes from. However, even with a few coats of whiteboard paint, my board is so old that it is stained and very hard to read from most seats in the class. Math and physics are difficult enough to master without the added stress of not being able to read the notes presented during class. Many of my students are visual learners, which means they learn better when they are able to SEE something rather than just hear it. Even the ones who aren't still benefit greatly from writing down the notes and having sample problems to reflect back on during individual practice. You can help them by giving generously and supporting my cause of acquiring a new, easy to read, whiteboard for my classroom. THANK YOU!
