Woodland is a Title I elementary school with more than 80% of the students on free or reduced lunch. Our job as educators is to let our students know that regardless of their situation, they are capable of whatever they desire and are willing to work to attain. Our students are encouraged to aspire to be college graduates and the teachers job is to challenge them to set goals to work towards and beyond. Although most careers involve working with computers, our school is lacking in technology for our students' use. There are computer labs for academic classes to sign up to use occasionally if they aren't being used for testing situations. Our Music classroom doesn't have computers or tablets for student use. I would like my students to SOAR INTO THE FUTURE with music, science, math and language arts through technology.
