We haven't started the school year just yet, but I hear I am in for a wonderful year. Last year I taught 5th grade for the first time and my students fell in love with reading because of the class book clubs they did under my supervision. I would read along with them and participate in discussions with them. Eventually, they became such experts in book clubs that they were able to run the clubs themselves; focusing on all areas of reading comprehension at each meeting. My students' love of reading greatly renewed my love of books.
