The dominoes and Simple & Powered Machines kit with its gears and pulleys, along with recycled items like milk cartons and soup cans will allow my 5th graders to create a Rube Goldberg machine as part of their classroom breakout project. The donations to this STEM project will allow each team of students to plan, design, and create a complex contraption designed to achieve a simple task - getting a key for their breakout room. A Rube Goldberg machine needs to have several parts, so my students need to have a wide variety of materials available to incorporate into their final design. The materials you help provide will encourage creativity, foster ingenuity, and build a lasting excitement for engineering and design.
