My students live in an urban community and attend school with a population of 950 students. Thirty students are interested in having a book club for athletes on Thursdays after school. These students understand that sports are enhanced by a quality education. Since some of my students are reluctant readers, the book club will provide motivation for them to read for enjoyment. Simultaneously, my students will increase their knowledge and comprehension skills by reading books that match their interest levels. Donors will be able to provide books for my students to read for increased learning and enjoyment.
