I am lucky enough to be a teacher of energetic second graders. They enjoy school and are fun and inquisitive. Although my school was fortunate and was not damaged by the 2013 tornadoes, our school's budget has been reduced to help our district with the expense of repairing and rebuilding. My school is not a Title 1 school but we have many students on free and reduced lunch programs. Many of my students come from different nationalities with English as a second language. We are a neighborhood school with most children close enough to walk or a short bus ride to attend school.
