My students are voracious readers. They are constantly begging me for new books to fill our library. Until now I have been making do with a paltry selection supplemented by whatever I can get my hands on at the local library. My school is a "high-needs" campus with few resources to dedicate to individual classroom libraries. To complicate matters, my students read in two languages, so we need a library that accommodates their English and Spanish needs. I would love reading to be a wonderful experience for my students, but at the present moment "reading" often looks like reading the same books over and over again while sitting in their rigid desk chairs.
