My students are hard workers trying to overcome the a long list of challenges in their lives. Some of them are refugees, many of them are living in extreme poverty, all of them need great support in order to achieve their potential. Our school has over 90% of its students enrolled in the free and reduced lunch program. We have almost 50% of our students identified as English language learners. My students come to school with a desire to learn, even if they don't come with breakfast or a backpack. My students inspire me every day.
