My students are ESL students, who are still trying to gain fluency of the language. They are incredibly motivated and all have dreams of going onto college. They know that one of the biggest obstacles they face is being reclassified as fluent in English. They struggle greatly with English classes because of the high demand in reading, writing, and speaking, which they must master in order to be reclassified. My students attend a school that is highly supportive of their needs and are willing to offer as many free services as they have. Unfortunately, that rarely includes new books that are geared for ESL students.
