My students in general come from families of three or more children where both parents often work all day most days of the week. Most of them live in government furnished housing located in the same lower income community that the school is. They are curious about the outside world and desire to have the same opportunities as other students in the district. The school itself has historically under-performed due to a lack of resources and unmotivated students.
