My students are in the second grade in a Title I school. They have faced many challenges in their first few years of school. They have not had a consistent principal and they have also dealt with teacher shifts during the school year due to cuts in school funding for our small county and classroom size. Many of my students come from young families or their parents are struggling to make ends meet due to loss of employment. They love to learn and are thirsty for knowledge!
