Kindergarten is a child's first introduction to the public classroom setting. It sets the tone of opinions regarding learning, friendship, and expectations of what is necessary to succeed. My classroom is a warm, creative, and differentiated space where children happily strive to be the best they can be. Environment is everything. Safety, inclusion, and happiness lend themselves to self-motivated learners. In my classroom, we learn using all the senses and student choice is encouraged. A combination of whole group and small group instruction is integral. Whole group learning allows for collaboration between the children. Small group makes it possible to teach directly to each student's specific needs. I adore being with my children every day. They make me smile as I watch them grow in ability, emotionally, and socially. There are no limits to what these young ladies and gentlemen can do!
