Social-emotional health is one of the main priorities of our school and central to how we teach and help our students navigate their world. In our school, we have used the Second Step SEL program for a few years and realized a need for supplemental lessons and activities to meet our students' needs. Now more than ever, mental health supports are critical to creating safety at school and at home. As a school counselor, my main focus is providing these supports and tools for teachers, students, and parents. I work with grade levels PK-5 by teaching in classrooms, leading small groups, supporting parents and teachers, or working one-on-one based on their needs. The materials requested will be used as tools to develop emotional awareness and regulation, coping strategies, resilience, growth mindset, grief expression, social skills, self-esteem, and diversity appreciation.
