My students are 9th graders with Specific Learning Disabilities. They struggle with reading and many of my students are placed in General Education classrooms for Science and History. With the fast paced classroom environments and the amount of reading required, my students fall behind and often feel frustrated which leads them to giving up and eventually failing History or Science. If my students have a resource outside of their general education classrooms, such as books on the topics they are learning about, as well as relevant topics that interest them, they will succeed.

About my class
