Students at our school come from very low-income families who face challenges of their own everyday. Our school has become a 'safe haven' for the students who attend by teaching character education, a strong curriculum, and most importantly, providing a welcoming and nurturing environment. Although our school is a Title I school and 95% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch, we are only 80% proficient in reading and math. We are a high performing school even though our resources are extremely limited.

About my class
