I have a diverse mix of regular education, special education and English language learners. Many of them face challenges that would make an adult cringe, yet they come to school prepared to take on the world. Some of them are the only person that can read in their homes, and many of them will be the first high school graduate in their family. These children are the heart of our community. They give me hope.
