These two iPads will enhance our art classroom in three important ways. First, iPads will make it possible for my artists to upload, in a timely manner, pictures of their artwork to our online art gallery on the Artsonia website-- the world's largest online art museum for students. When they upload work their friends and families are notified, and they can see the artwork, and send positive comments to the artists. This gallery is linked to the digital portfolio that each student at our school is required to keep and share with a community member at the end of the school year. The second thing the iPads will do for us is give us the ability to use specific applications designed for digital art creation. The iPads will help us address state and national standards in art for seventh and eighth graders. The third application of the iPads will be to provide students with a way to advance their individual artistic growth through access to photo references and art tutorials.
