My students are one of a kind! I would give anything If I could only see what they see and feel how they feel on a daily basis. Transitioning into a brand new Autistic program at a brand new school will be challenging in itself, but having limited resources for them will be even harder. My students need visual activities they can do as well as the space to do those activities. Many of my students do not understand simple directions without the use of a visual representation as well. Asking my students to sit on the carpet for circle time will be near impossible without being able to ask them to sit on the red colored square for circle time. Nothing is implied, everything is explicitly stated.
