My scholars are the most incredible group of 24 1st graders that could have ever been placed in a classroom together. They are enthusiastic about learning and are incredibly caring for one another. My scholars attend a low income public school in Louisiana where 95% of our population is eligible for free or reduced lunch. The adversity that many of them face each day is heartbreaking however, they always rise above and remain poised. My scholars are on the road to college and they know that if they work hard, there is nothing that can keep them from reaching greatness. My scholars are a group of visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners. Planning lessons to reach the needs of each of my exceptional scholars can be challenging at times. Having a document camera in the classroom will allow for all types of learners to learn simultaneously while meeting their differentiated needs. By introducing more technology into our room, my scholars will have enhanced education experience.
