This laptop cart will help with quick transitions within the classroom. In our room we operate by a theme of “Every person matters, every moment counts and every future is BRIGHT!” Every moment truly does matter and I need this cart to help organize my students.
We are a brand new school and students have technology, however, we weren’t given a way to store or charge the technology. I have lost precious instruction time trying to help my students correctly pile their laptops and charge them. A cart would allow my students to access their technology with ease. I can have more one on one time or group time with students because I won’t have to help them with charging and organizing. They will be fully independent future leaders!
Additionally, my students will use their devices to practice their math facts daily. This addresses standard 3.OA.C.7 where students are expected to know from memory all the products of two one digit numbers by the end of third grade. Students also use their devices to practice on Dreambox both at school and at home. Students are also able to listen to books on their devices (Standard SL.3.2) as well as publish their writing and collaborate with other students (Standard W.3.6)
Without the charging cart, it makes it difficult for the students to use their devices they are so lucky to have and access all of these learning opportunities.
