By kindly donating these materials, you will be enhancing the kindergarten experience of a group of excited inner city children. Though our school is located in an extremely urban area and many of these students come from difficult home lives, they come to school every day with eager minds and open hearts. Besides being held accountable for mastering a curriculum, these beautiful babies are coming to school dirty, hungry, and abused. Yet somehow their eyes light up every time I teach them an exciting new skill or introduce a new game for them to try. Because of our school's location they are not offered the same teaching experience as those attending a financially stable school setting. As such, having a class size of 30+ children makes it difficult to hand make this many activities for an entire school year. I know these games don't seem like much, but to them they will feel like treasures. Most times, school is their only sanctuary for learning and fun.
