This school year I will be back teaching what I love the most, Special Education in a Self- Contained EBD classroom. Our school is in the heart of the inner city with many of our students finding safety and a loving home in our school building. We strive to help our school feel like home. My students are in self contained special education classroom to not only help them with their academics but also how to handle their emotions. My students have encountered a lot of obstacles in their life that have lead them to this place. My goal is to have them recognize their value and how they can be successful through choice making strategies. Our classroom is in need of some TLC. I have started the painting process but we need a little bit of help to get our room to feel like a home. Will you consider helping our become an place of hope and growth.
