The project is to have a sand box in my counseling office. The sand box will give my students the ability to express their feelings in a safe environment. Students have a lot of emotions inside of them and do not have the environment to express them. Students will come into to the office and use the sand to express their feelings. They will then draw, color or write about what they have made in the sandbox. The students at our campus come from broken homes, abuse situations and foster care. They have more in their backpacks then their school supplies.
