Our school is a city school with a high percentage of poverty. Many of my students do not have the ability to access technology in their homes. In the current digital age, I feel it is important to help my students to be comfortable with all forms of technology. All reading and math instruction in my classroom is in small guided learning groups. While teaching small groups, I am always on the lookout for engaging and worthwhile activities for my students to work on. Tablets will provide my students with the opportunity to work on math skills, increase their reading fluency and comprehension, and develop writing skills.
