How could technology in the hands of future engineers, doctors, teachers, lawyers, and presidents be a bad idea? Each year, I strive to make readers, writers, and thinkers out of my students; furthermore, this year the expectation is for them to be innovators, collaborators, and explorers as well. Many of my students don't even have access to computers in their homes, so to make 16 tablets available for them in the classroom will undoubtedly motivate, captivate, and take their learning to new levels. I am implementing a paperless writing classroom for 6th graders this year, and students will: research, create websites, master Google applications, and so much more! Fund my project. Invest in the future.
