This is a title one primary school with grades preK-2 in the second largest city in Virginia. Recently there was a tragedy at our local Wal-Mart that impacted one of our students. This is just one example of what our kids have to overcome. Our students are loving and intelligent who come from low economic backgrounds which many are children of military parents. They deserve the same advantages as kids who have an affluent and stable situation. We would like to increase our science test scores by offering weekly science day activities and rotations. We encourage our students to explore, plan and execute their ideas with hands on activities. Loving our students is the first step. Second step is providing what they need to achieve success!
