We have many Native American students in our school and I would love for my students to all feel proud of their heritage. Teaching in a cultural appropriate way is important to me. I would like to give my students an authentic and true account of the rich culture of indigenous people in the United States. I plan on teaching how Native Americans in each region adapted to their environment, and the ingenious ways they survived the regions they called home. These books will give my students a memorable view into the values and legends of each culture.
