My first graders are a wonderful group of students! They come to class ready to learn with their smiling faces and huge hugs everyday. I teach 1st grade in an small rural school in Michigan's Upper Peninsula which has about 350 students in grades K-12. We have one section of each grade level and most of the students all know each other in grades K-6. Our school is like a large family. I have been teaching 1st grade in this district for the past 16 years and it has been an amazing journey so far. I would love to see the journey continue with some new materials for my students.
