My class is made up of 20 students. They are eager, inquisitive, and engaged in learning. We are a public charter school in an urban setting located in CA. Due to budget cuts, our students have not been able to have access to a school library. Therefore, teachers need a classroom library. These students are faced with many situations in their young lives that they may not be ready for. Reading and developing a love for reading can provide them with another world to explore. It can help them read biographies of people who were once like them but wanted more for themselves and their families.
