The things I have requested will provide students with wiggle seats, chair bands, yoga chairs and stress strips. These things help students either become calm or remain calm during possibly stressful times. The picture books will help them learn new concepts, teach them about other people's challenges and provide some interactive activities to help them continue to build a positive class climate. When students feel like a valued part of a classroom, they are more likely to take risks and try difficult things. We will share these things and will have rich discussions after the picture books are read aloud to the class.

About my class
