I teach thirty-three sixth grade students, along with a teaching team of four others who teach the same number of students, in a Suburban school of approximately 1000 students. Our school serves students from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I believe in the partnership between school and home as well as community involvement in fostering the success of all students at high levels. The students that I serve include English Language learners, Special Education students and Gifted and Talented children. Therefore, my goals are to individualize learning and my teaching to meet the needs of all students from those who need practice and reteaching to those have met grade level and state standards and are ready to take their learning to the next level.
