Having flexible seating for reading instruction will allow students to be comfortable reading for the 50 minute long instructional period. Students have openly stated how hard it is to focus when they are sitting in straight back chairs for so long. The Big Space Flex seating will allow students to be relaxed and focused while reading in whatever position they find to be most comfortable. For these students reading is already a struggle, and causes anxiety. If a child is sitting in a comfortable position, in comfortable seating, they begin to feel calm and relaxed, thus making it effortless to do their best during instruction.

About my class
