My students are some of the most amazing individuals that you will ever meet. Despite their diagnosis of Autism, they work past their limitations and continue to achieve and excel in their home and school environment. Everyday is unique, but brings the emergence of new skills and joy from my students. My students are in a self-contained class for severe Autism in a Title 1 school. They need more support to function, but their love of learning and ability to learn each and every day is amazing. Most of my students are non-verbal, but having a numerous amount of visuals and other communication means helps them to gain their independence.
