My students are a collection of boys and girls from a high poverty area in Massachusetts. They are highly motivated and excited about the different possibilities in math and science this year. The school district is a low achieving district that has been making huge gains to change that designation. Many schools in the district, including mine, have recently moved from some of the lowest achieving in the state to performing better than about 30% of the state. We look forward to continuing that upward trend and helping our students be successful in the future.
