With school districts budget cuts and lack of essential school supplies, I am asking for help to supplement essential supplies for our classroom. One of the biggest components of our instructional time is our Interactive Science Notebooks. The notebooks are the instructional vessel for my students to reflect upon there learning. An interactive notebook gives students the ability to create and design their own learning with the use of tape, scissors, and pencil sharpener. Even though these are simple office tools for most people to my students these supplies are everything. Tape is one of the driving tools for a successful interactive notebook. Students use tape to construct there vocabulary word note-flaps and instructional foldable-notes. With my students writing most of there classwork in color; the pencil sharpener will help keep our pencils and coloring pencils sharp and ready to work. Coloring pencils can dull a regular pencil sharpener, so an industrial pencil sharpener will aid in keeping our learning sharp and ready. These supplies will ultimately give my students financial relief through the course of their educational career.
