All children can learn if we just open our eyes to see them, open our ears to hear them, and open our hearts to understand all of them. I teach all subjects areas. My room is a cross categorical room. The students are special education-grades 3,4,5,&6 with learning and behavioral disabilities,cognitive delayed, and traumatic brain injury. All are between 1 - 3 grade levels below their peers in Reading and Math, but they try everyday to increase Reading and Math skills to prevent embarrassment in front of their peers. All are African-American. 2 girls and 9 boys from low income households. Most are single parent - mother.
