My classroom would benefit from using a Chromebook cart designed to easily charge and protect computer tablets between uses. Last year it seemed like we wasted too much time wresting with a cumbersome cart that was not efficient. The school day is brief and valuable student learning opportunities are measured in minutes. Having quick, convenient access to charged computer tablets will help the students minimize transition time. The students will hit the ground running with fun, interactive activities without needing to spend time sorting through a mess of wires and dead batteries. We plan to use Chromebooks for Google games and to share ideas. My learning community likes to discuss options and launch persuasive dialogue; we use all of the learning time we can get. Class activities can run up until the final bell with online, interactive exit slips. With an easy to use, modern Chromebook charging station, we will not need to reserve several minutes at the end of the period for Chromebook cart storage.
