My students come from poverty. They are socially and economically disadvantaged. All too often, they are not exposed to the fine arts, especially music due to budget cutbacks. There is no music teacher in my district, just me, their classroom teacher who is desperately trying to give them a well-rounded education, one that also includes music. My students love to sing, but we need a new music player and speakers to help us learn how to "sing together in perfect harmony."

About my class
